Opera Explorers: LiveWe have partnered with the Cleveland Opera Theater and will be hosting Opera Explorers: Live series this fall! This program is free of charge and open to any students in grades K-8 living in or attending school in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood! During this four-week program, children will be introduced to musical storytelling. Students will come one day a week to learn the history of an opera and experience its music through rhythmic movement and guided listening activities. Each week students will focus on a different opera. No musical experience or opera knowledge is necessary. Masks are required. Snack will be provided!
Groups will be divided by grade bands. Each grade band will have one day per week for their session:
- Grades K-1: Tuesdays
- Grades 2-3: Wednesdays
- Grades 4-5: Thursdays
- Grades 6-8: Fridays

Week 1: October 19-22 The Marriage of Figaro
Week 2: November 16-29 La Traviata
Week 3: December 7-10 La Boheme
Week 4: TBD Madame Butterfly
